3. How are your gemstones photographed?

Our gemstones are photographed by experienced professionals using state-of-the-art equipment, advanced macro photography techniques, and specialized lighting systems calibrated to simulate natural daylight (5500K). This ensures accurate color representation and showcases each gem’s true beauty and detail.

4. Are your pictures & videos accurate?

Yes. As a specialized eCommerce business in gemstones and fine jewelry, we understand the importance of accurately representing each piece online. After years of research and development, we’ve perfected advanced macro photography techniques and customized gemstone lighting systems to ensure true-to-life media.

Our studio uses lighting systems with a high Color Rendering Index (CRI >95) and Television Lighting Consistency Index (TLCI >97), allowing DSLR cameras to capture color with exceptional precision. We also evaluate all visuals on color-calibrated monitors using hardware calibration tools to ensure consistency and accuracy.

As a result, the photos, videos, and 360° interactive views on our listings offer a fair and faithful representation of each gemstone’s actual color and appearance.

5. Which devices or screens provide the best viewing experience for your pictures, videos & 360° interactive views?

Our media is embedded with “Display P3” color profiles to ensure accurate color display across browsers and other color-managed software.

For the most accurate color reproduction, we recommend viewing on the latest generation of devices, including laptops and desktops with IPS displays, Apple devices with Retina displays (such as iPhones, iPads, and iMacs), and mobile screens featuring IPS, OLED, AMOLED, or QLED technology. These screens offer superior color accuracy and clarity, closely matching the gemstones’ real-life appearance.

6. Are your diamonds and gemstones conflict-free?

At StarRuby.in, we are deeply committed to ensuring that all our diamonds and gemstones are sourced ethically, responsibly, and transparently. We understand and share the global concern about the adverse impact of conflict minerals and unethically mined gemstones on human rights and environmental sustainability.

In full compliance with the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS), the U.S. Patriot Act, and relevant United Nations resolutions, we guarantee that all our diamonds and colored gemstones are 100% conflict-free. We categorically do not sell, trade, or engage in any business involving gemstones sourced from conflict zones or areas associated with human rights abuses, armed conflict, or unlawful practices.
