Royal Araina Collection: Gemstones that you "fall in love" with

Named after his daughter, the "Royal Araina Collection" is a hand-picked selection of exceptional, noteworthy gemstones by Harshil Zaveri, the founder of StarRuby.in ®.

Why choose one gemstone rather than another?

That is where Harshil comes into his own, revealing that his sensibility extends far beyond simple expertise.

In addition to applying the gemological selection criteria, he seeks out stones that speak to him: those that evoke an idea, bring out an emotion, recall a memory, or tell a story.

Every gemstone in the "Royal Araina Collection" is a rare, timeless treasure highly sought-after by discerning collectors and gem connoisseurs.

Treasures of the Earth

"Treasures of the Earth" is a collection of noteworthy gemstones hand-picked by our team of gemstone experts. Every gemstone in this collection will captivate you with its intrinsic beauty and spectacular flair.

Curation
This 3.01-carat Burmese ruby has a pretty vivid red color that's completely natural (no heat) combined with pops of bright magenta highlights. The color is made even more intense as a result of fluorescence. Rubies from Burma (Myanmar), which typically form in marble, can fluoresce red or "glow" under ultraviolet light, including sunlight. This gem boasts a level of clarity rarely seen in Burmese rubies - it's not only fully transparent but also entirely free of internal inclusions. In addition, the brilliant-cut facets on the crown of the stone's cushion shape, coupled with the step-cut facets on the pavilion, create a light play that adds to the excitement.

Gemologist's Comments on Clarity:
Such exceptional clarity (internally flawless) is rarely seen in natural & unheated/untreated rubies of Burmese origin, particularly in stones over 2 carats in weight.

The features seen in the stone's pavilion are naturally occurring rough, unpolished surface areas. When cutting & polishing rubies, it's a common practice to intentionally keep certain portions of the stone in the natural, rough, unpolished form, particularly in the pavilion/bottom of the stone. This is done to preserve the carat weight and maintain the stone's overall shape/symmetry. Such minor external features are commonly seen in most natural & unheated/untreated rubies, especially ones from Burma. Since they are located in the pavilion, they don't affect the stone's clarity, face-up appearance, or luster.

Fluorescence is the visible light some gemstones emit when exposed to invisible ultraviolet (UV) rays. We've described below the intensity and color of the gemstone's fluorescence under long-wave UV light (LWUV).

Very Strong
