Royal Araina Collection: Gemstones that you "fall in love" with

Named after his daughter, the "Royal Araina Collection" is a hand-picked selection of exceptional, noteworthy gemstones by Harshil Zaveri, the founder of StarRuby.in ®.

Why choose one gemstone rather than another?

That is where Harshil comes into his own, revealing that his sensibility extends far beyond simple expertise.

In addition to applying the gemological selection criteria, he seeks out stones that speak to him: those that evoke an idea, bring out an emotion, recall a memory, or tell a story.

Every gemstone in the "Royal Araina Collection" is a rare, timeless treasure highly sought-after by discerning collectors and gem connoisseurs.

Treasures of the Earth

"Treasures of the Earth" is a collection of noteworthy gemstones hand-picked by our team of gemstone experts. Every gemstone in this collection will captivate you with its intrinsic beauty and spectacular flair.

Curation
This lovely rosy-hued 3.65-carat ruby is mined from the Mogok stone tract in Burma (Myanmar), which has provided the world with its finest rubies.

This particular ruby exhibits a beautiful pinkish-red body color for which these gems are treasured with no indications of heat treatment, according to the Gem Research SwissLab (GRS).

Burmese rubies also have the ability to fluoresce or emit light when stimulated by ultraviolet radiation, such as that in sunlight. This makes the color of this stone even more intense and gives it the appearance of being internally illuminated.

There's also the presence of "silk" in Burmese rubies (tiny inclusions that scatter light), which gives this ruby a soft glow across the face.

It's a magnificent piece, perfect for the woman who would like something out of the ordinary yet with heirloom appeal.

— Harshil Zaveri, Founder & CEO

Special Characteristics

Velvety Appearance:
This gemstone exhibits an appearance that is classified as "velvety". Such an appearance results from very fine microscopic particles that scatter light, causing the coveted visual effect without negatively affecting the gem's transparency. Gemstones with a velvety appearance have little to no extinction, display a warm glow, and look very pleasing to the eye. Therefore, velvety appearance is considered a highly sought-after trait in gemstones. The most prominent examples of gemstones coveted for their velvety appearance are the legendary Kashmir sapphires.
