Royal Araina Collection: Gemstones that you "fall in love" with

Named after his daughter, the "Royal Araina Collection" is a hand-picked selection of exceptional, noteworthy gemstones by Harshil Zaveri, the founder of StarRuby.in ®.

Why choose one gemstone rather than another?

That is where Harshil comes into his own, revealing that his sensibility extends far beyond simple expertise.

In addition to applying the gemological selection criteria, he seeks out stones that speak to him: those that evoke an idea, bring out an emotion, recall a memory, or tell a story.

Every gemstone in the "Royal Araina Collection" is a rare, timeless treasure highly sought-after by discerning collectors and gem connoisseurs.

Treasures of the Earth

"Treasures of the Earth" is a collection of noteworthy gemstones hand-picked by our team of gemstone experts. Every gemstone in this collection will captivate you with its intrinsic beauty and spectacular flair.

Curation
Here’s a flower that will never fade: an oval-shaped pinkish-red ruby mined in Burma (Myanmar) that looks like a petal that’s just been plucked from a bright tulip. This Burmese ruby’s intense hue is entirely natural, with no indication of thermal treatment, as certified by the Gem Research SwissLab (GRS), and it casts a consistent color in all settings. Due to its ability to “fluoresce,” this natural Burmese ruby also glows warmly in the sunlight. A beautifully faceted mixed brilliant cut allows for flickers of light throughout. This 3.48-carat Burmese ruby is just perfect for a jewel meant to show affection and devotion—characteristic of the favorite springtime flower it resembles.

— Harshil Zaveri, Founder & CEO

Special Characteristics

Exceptional Quality:
The overall quality of this gemstone is classified as "exceptional". Its unique combination of extraordinary color, remarkable clarity, and superior appearance make it almost impossible to replace.

Velvety Appearance:
This gemstone exhibits an appearance that is classified as "velvety". Such an appearance results from very fine microscopic particles that scatter light, causing the coveted visual effect without negatively affecting the gem's transparency. Gemstones with a velvety appearance have little to no extinction, display a warm glow, and look very pleasing to the eye. Therefore, velvety appearance is considered a highly sought-after trait in gemstones. The most prominent examples of gemstones coveted for their velvety appearance are the legendary Kashmir sapphires.

Vibrant Brilliancy:
This gemstone exhibits a brilliancy that is classified as "vibrant." Vibrant brilliancy results from a combination of factors such as skillful cutting, excellent clarity, even color distribution, and a very low degree of extinction.
