Curation
This 6.94-carat emerald is nothing short of breathtaking. Born in the historic Kamakanga mines of Zambia, it glows with a vivid-to-deep "royal green" color that immediately captures the eye. What makes this emerald truly special is its exceptional transparency, a quality so rare in emeralds that it feels almost magical. Adding to its rarity, this emerald displays near eye-clean clarity with only minimal inclusions, a remarkable feature for this gem variety.

Shaped into a classic rectangular cushion, the gem has been cut and polished with care to reveal its natural brilliance and depth of color. Its impressive size gives it a commanding presence, yet its beauty feels refined and timeless. Holding it in your hand, you sense that this is not just a gemstone but a piece of nature’s finest artistry.

Whether you imagine it set in an heirloom piece of jewelry or kept as part of a collection, this emerald has the power to move hearts and tell a story for generations to come.

Gemstone, Origin & Treatments

Natural Beryl

Gemstone & Variety:
Natural Emerald

Geographic Origin:
Kamakanga Mines - Zambia

Treatments:
Indications of minor clarity enhancement with oil

Gemologist's Comments on Treatments:
As a business policy, we don't stock heated, treated, or enhanced gemstones. However, emeralds invariably come into contact with oil during their life, from mining to cutting/polishing to selling. This is because oil is commonly used as a lubricant for cleaning/storing rough emeralds and facilitating the cutting/polishing process.

Also, due to their natural growth conditions and recovery methods, almost all emeralds contain surface-reaching features. Therefore, the oil may seep into these features even when not intended as a treatment.

For this reason, clarity enhancement - particularly with oil - is a common and widely accepted trade practice for emeralds.

Indications of "minor" clarity enhancement with oil are observed in this particular emerald.
